Bridge to Success

Autism Society Society NWPA has partnered with Professor Hattjar of Gannon University to develop a Job Prep program for our youth ages 15 -21 in order to prepare them for future employment opportunities.

Bridge to Success is being developed and implemented for ages 15 – 21 on the autism spectrum by Gannon University Occupational Therapy students.

Schedule:  The program will run 8 – 10 weeks one (1) day a week in the evenings.  Begins:  Wednesday | 6:00 to 7:15pm | starting January 25, 2017

Location:  Gannon University Occupational Therapy lab

  • Week 1 – Who Are We Activity
  • Week 2 – Esteem Building Book
  • Week 3 – Job Campatibility/Interest Exploration
  • Week 4 – Appropriate Dressing and Hygiene
  • Week 5 – Career Shadowing
  • Week 6 – Continuing Education Options
  • Week 7 – Post High School Job Opportunities
  • Week 8 – Resume Building/Volunteering
  • Week 9 – Interview Questions
  • Week 10 – Mock Interview & End of Program Celebration
